New Week

Today was the last day of the "Time Travellers" Project!

So we had to show our work to a couple of Fashion Design and Fashion Textiles: Print course leaders (Evelyn Bennett - http://rutterandbennett.com/ ) from UCA in Rochester.  It was supposed to be a competition; whoever's work was picked, they would be going to Rochester on Monday to experiement with new techniques!

Unfortunatly, I didn't get picked but! I did get some feedback which I can look back on with joy :)

- Work is very interiors
- My work can not be refined; My designs were "ready for product"
- Work is very applique and embroidery focused


Second Project

As there is "no rest for the wicked"! We've been given our second project called, "Time Travellers" Part 2 "The Mash Up" which is only a week long  - eek!

The Brief states that we have to make a costume, as well as a back drop and props... no pressure!


Thoughts about Textiles

Despite uncertainty today about actually going to university, I know for sure that I really want to go to Bucks New University to study Textiles and Surface Design!

I've also thought about, with the help of Evelyn, of whether I actually want to build up my own business or become a free-lance designer!
- Something I really need to consider and look into!

I also really want to exhibit my work in museuems and galleries, including the V and A!

Hopefully with 2013 I'll be able to get one step closer to it! or maybe even achieve it!
